    ABSTRACT

In this study; the antero-posterior changes of upper permanent canin teeth have been investigated during their eruption at a mean period of 10.26 months. A total of 21 individuals, 10 boys and 11 girls; mean chronological aged 116.48 months, skeletal aged 101.29 months and mean upper canine teeth calcification staged 7.16 values; who have normal occlusion and skeletal class I pattern were examined. At the beginning of investigation, mean calcification stage has been determined for upper canine teeth according to the Nolla's Method. The two cephalometric radiographs of all individuals were taken at the beginning and the end of investigation. On the tracings of cephalometric radiographs; two angular and one linear measurements were made. The mean values of these measurements were calculated. The statistical analyses were applied to determine wherher or not differences of these mean values were significant. The results of this study indicate that the antero-posterior changes of upper permanent canine teeth during their eruption between Nolla's 7 and 8 stages, in which eruption is more speedy than others stages, have been found statistically insignificant.
