ABSTRACT

In this case report, an alternative treatment approach was presented for the patient who had a deep-overbite due to over-eruption of the lower incisors. Titanium bone screw, which had particullary smaller dimension when compared with conventional implants, was placed into the symphysis region; 75gr of intrusive force was applied and 5.5mm of lower incisor intrusion in respect to occlusal plane and 4.5mm of intrusion in respect to mandibular plane was achieved, at the end of the treatment. Titanium bone screws, which can be manipulated easily, are alternative to the implants, in selected patients.
