ABSTRACT
Numerous upper molar distalization methods have been described for the treatment of crowding in the upper jaw or for the correction of Class II molar relationships. In this study, upper molars were distalized with a modified “distal jet” appliance in two cases. The upper molars moved distally 3.5 mm and tipped distally 2-6.5 degrees within 3-5 months. During the distalization period, anterior movement of the anchor teeth (1. bicuspids) with incisors, an increase in lower facial height and mandibular plane angle were observed.
