ABSTRACT

ion of teeth is a rare dental anomaly which two teeth have interchanged positions in the dental arch. Transposition most frequently involves the maxillary canine, which is transposed with the first premolar or lateral incisor. Although every case had its indivudial characteristics, there are three main treatment procedures. First is to move teeth to their correct positions in dental arch, second is allignment of teeth in their transposed position and third is extraction of one or both transposed teeth. In this article, an orthodontic treatment of maxillary canine lateral transposition is reported and the subject is discussed.
