ABSTRACT

The authors suggest a taxonomyand a spesific terminolojy for vertical maxillo/mandibular excess dysmorphies, “Long face” or “High face”. They distinguish three anomalies which may, seperate or in association, cause an increased vertical dimention of face; a. Hypsomaxillia, b. Hypsogenia, c. Hypsostomy. In this paper a case of “Lonf face” and its surgical treatment will be presented.
