    ABSTRACT

Iatrogenics in general terms can be defined as something that can be induced unintentionally by the treatment. Biological factors and cooperation of the patients, treatment techniques and materials and the debate on the training, education, skill and experince of the doctor play an important role in these unintentional situations. Iatrogenics in orthodontics can be encountered as root resorption, loss of alveolar crest, some form of periodontal damage, temporomandibular disorders, biocompatibility, injuries, and relapses
