ABSTRACT
The purpose of the study was to investigate the changes in upper facial and dentoalveolar structures by using maxillar protraction appliance on subjects who have skeletal Class 3 malocclusion characterized by maxillar retrusion. Treatment and control groups consisted of total 20 subjects which have been observed for approximately seven months were evaluated cephalometrically and comparisons between the groups were made statistically. Results showed that the increase in ANB angle and overjet by anterior movement of maxilla and upper incisors were statistically significant. In vertical direction compared to control group only overbite decreased significantly.
