ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to assess the den tool veolar and facial effects of TMA springs of Pendulum Appliances which were activated 60 and 90 degrees following first maxillary molar distalization. In this study 22 patients were included, which had a Class II molar relationship and moderate space deficiency in the maxillary arch due to maxillary first molar mezialization whose chronological ages differ from 9 years to 14 years 7 months. Two application groups were established; TMA springs of the PA were activated 60 and 90 degrees in the first and second groups respccüvely. Similar effects were observed in disialized maxillary first molars and anchorage teeth in both groups. In the second group, ANSPNS⊥lKesK dimension was decreased as a result of maxillary incisors demonstrated tipping toward labial. The increase in the N-Me and S-Go dimensions were determined higher in the first group.
