The aim of this study was to investigate the posttreatment changes in the treated anterior open-bite anomalies with Bionator, Frankel IV and Posterior bite-block after two years from the end of the treatment. For this purpose, lateral cephalometric radiographs were taken from 30 patients who were treated with those appliances, at the end and after two years from the end of the treatment. 26 different parameters of which 16 were skeletal and 10 were dental were evaluated on the cephalometric radiographs. Intragroup comparisons were made with Wilcoxon test. Intergroup comparisons were made with Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney statistical analysis. After two years from the end of the treatment, the results were showed that, statistically significant changes in Bionator group were seen in SNA, SNB and Go-Gn-SN angles, corpus length, overbite and upper dentoalveoler height, in Frankel IV group were seen in posterior facial height, corpus length, overbite and upper dentoalveoler height, in Posterior bite-block group were seen in SNA and SNB angles, total anterior facial height, upper facial height, corpus length, overbite, upper dentoalveoler height and lower dentoalveoler height. In all appliances groups, cephalometric values indicate that vertical growth does not increase. In the view of these results, it is said that according the results of this research, are not show any change to the patients whose direction of growth was turned the horizontal from the vertical growth by the functional treatment.
